Principal

Peggy Munarriz

Peggy obtained a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines. After graduation, she worked as an Interior Designer. Peggy arrived in Macau in 1990 and was one of the first graduates of the University of Macau's Bachelor's degree in English Studies with Specialization in Communications in 1995. Afterwards, she held various administrative and managerial tasks in an education association in Macau. She has been part of Jingdou Management since 2002. She relaxes by meeting friends, reading, and doing sports whenever she can. She is now pursuing a Masters' course in Education with the University of Western Australia.

 

Teachers

Cabell Chan

Cabell finished a Master's degree of Business Administration with University of Saint Joseph in 2009. She graduated from the University of Macau in a BA in English Studies with specialization in Communications. She previously worked as a script writer, researcher, PR representative and media business proprietor before joining Jingdou as a Cantonese & English language instructor. She enjoys yoga, playing the piano and reading in her free time.

 

Florence Lei

She gained her Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Macau, and after graduation she worked as a teacher at Direcçao dos Serviços de Educaçao e Juventude. In 2002, she completed an MBA Program at Instituto Inter-Universitario de Macau. Then, in October 2005, she studied Pastry and Bread Baking at Ecole Supérieure de Cuisine Française – Ferranti in France and was back to Macao in February 2007. She started teaching in Jingdou last September 2008.

 

Ken Im

After studying in the U.S.A. and Japan, Ken worked in mainland China for several years and eventually settled in Macau. He is interested in teaching English as a communicative means rather than just as a second language. He is keen on bringing insights and perspectives from other cultures when teaching, and is compassionate about fulfilling education for young learners. He hopes to make his classes interesting and meaningful for his students. In his leisure time, Ken enjoys reading and travelling.

 

Luffey Chan

After graduating from Zhanjiang Normal College in China, Luffey came back to Macau and worked in various fields such as the gourmet food industry, real estate business and retail management. She gained a lot of interesting and important experiences and met many friends. Later on she realized that her professional calling is to be a teacher and joined Jingdou as one of our full-time teachers in July 2007. She teaches adult and young learners. And now she puts her whole soul into teaching and doing a Master’s Degree on Applied Linguistics.

 

Maria Antonieta de Souza

Maria de Souza has vast experience in the hotel management field and was a Business Consultant in California, U.S.A. Later she travelled to Europe and got her Degree in Teaching English in Nuernberg, Germany to German children and adults. Now she is in Jingdou extending her knowledge & experience to students and adults of Macau!

 

Rosanna Wong

After graduating from the University of Macau with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Rosanna then worked as an English teacher at a local secondary school for six years, teaching both teenagers and adults. During this time, she also attended a course “Summer School for Teachers of English” in England. Desirous of further increasing her knowledge of teaching English, she enrolled in an MA TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) course at the University of Buckingham, England. Upon returning to Macau, she continued her teaching career in a freelance capacity. And she is mainly obliged to adult continuing education classes, professional training and in-service training for organizations. Interested in diversifying her skills, she enrolled at the University of Stirling, Scotland, where she did a Master’s Degree in Tourism Marketing. Since then, she is back in town teaching English in various institutions.

 

FEEA Development Staff

May Chan

A graduate of the University of Asia and the Pacific with a Bachelor's Degree in Humanities with Management, May has experiences in the corporate world as well as in the academic sphere. She has worked as a marketing consultant in a food industry, administrative and accounting staff in other industries. Previous to these, her work in a private school entailed teaching group classes, mentoring students and administrative work. In between was a short stay in the U.S.A. where she learned other things. Afterwards, she decided to expand her horizons in Taiwan as a Research Assistant. She has also been involved in various educational associations and non-profit organizations, spearheading service projects and volunteer work to the community-in-need. She is now the Marketing Director both for FEEA and its main school, Jingdou.

 

Monica Magcase

Monica is the Academic Affairs Director, supporting ESL teachers. She was the Regional Manager of East Asian Educational Association in Hong Kong, where she organised and marketed training courses on professional and cultural development. She has attained a Postgraduate Diploma in Education; Certificate in Chinese Language at the University of Hong Kong; Diploma in Management Studies at the University of Westminster, UK and Bachelor’s degree of Science in Business Administration at the University of the Philippines. Since 2003, she has been teaching English to secondary school students as well as adults, and has directed youth projects since 2001 in Hong Kong. From 1996 to 1998, she coordinated the UNIV, an International Congress for university students held in Rome. She worked for Dawliffe Hall Education Foundation, in UK, from 1989-1991 as an English Programme Coordinator for foreign students as well as a Mentor for secondary school students. On a lighter note, she enjoys hiking, cycling and reading.

 

Administration

Fandy Sio

Joined Jingdou in early 2008, Fandy works as a full-time receptionist. She has experience about human resources for over ten years. She enjoys the working environment in Jingdou and meeting parents and their children.

 

Mrs. Cheang

Jingdou Language Centre's warm and friendly atmosphere is enhanced by the presence of Mrs. Cheang who helps us as a part-time receptionist during her free time. She enjoys travelling, singing and cooking.
